The new development brings Amorita’s accommodations to a total of 97 luxury suites, including the 14 villas that offer a view of the Bohol Sea.
"We aim to establish Amorita Resort as one of the most sustainable hotel and resort destinations in the Philippines,” says Cauton, chief executive officer of One-Of Collection. Monica Beach Club in Dumaguete, and the Funny Lion Inn in Coron, Palawan. “By implementing an organic modern design approach and architectural styling in the development of the resort, we hope to minimize our impact on the environment, increase operational efficiency, and integrate key features of the natural surroundings in Bohol.

Spain's famed culinary event to come to Manila
Expect some of the world’s most prestigious chefs and culinary professionals to visit Manila next year as the Philippines hosts Madrid Fusion, a well-known gastronomy gathering in Spain.
Last week, the Department of Tourism signed a partnership agreement with Spanish organizers as they plan the details of Madrid Fusion Manila, which is seen to promote the Philippines as a top culinary destination.
“Madrid Fusion is the single, most important conference for culinary in the 21st century. It is where the world goes to see the future of food. We are very excited to welcome people who are interested in food from Asia, primarily from ASEAN, and from the rest of the world to visit the Philippines in 2015,” said Tourism Secretary Ramon Jimenez Jr.
“The whole concept behind Madrid Fusion is to gather the best in culinary arts and get them to share their knowledge. We believe in the Philippines’ potential to further grow as a center of culinary excellence in Asia, and Madrid Fusion will help amplify that. It is likewise an opportune moment since 2015 has been declared as Visit the Philippines Year,” he added.
More than 400 leading chefs in the world have graced the annual Madrid Fusion, which includes live cooking demonstrations, presentations of new techniques, workshops, contests, tastings, trade exhibits and auctions.
Some of the culinary experts who have participated in the event include Grant Achatz, Gaston Acurio, Ferran Adria, Juan Mari Arzak, Alex Atala, Nobu Matsuhisa, Heston Blumenthal, Michel Brass, Paul Bocure, Quique Dacosta, Alain Duchase, Joel Robuchon and Michel Troisgros.
Planning and negotiations for the event continued during the tourism selling mission held last 13 March in Madrid between the involved parties.

Major cruise lines eyeing Philippines
Three of the world’s leading cruise companies—Carnival Corp, Royal Caribbean International and Norwegian Cruise Lines—have expressed interest to help develop the Philippines as a cruise-ship destination, the Philippine Embassy in Washington, DC, said recently.
In a statement, Philippine Ambassador to the United States Jose L. Cuisia Jr. said officials of the three companies provided feedback on how the Philippines could become a cruise destination that would provide their guests with a unique and memorable experience.
A favorite tourist destination in the northern Philippines, Vigan has been described as “the best-preserved example of a planned Spanish colonial town in Asia,” and is the only Philippine city on the list of heritage sites declared by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.
At the same time, the three cruise-industry leaders, which already employ a combined total of 61,700 Filipino crew members, disclosed their plans to hire more seafarers from the Philippines as they acquire more cruise ships to support their expansion plans.
